Harmony Works Case Study

Harmony Works is a bold project to build a new base for inspirational music education and opportunity. The project will enrich and enhance the lives and futures of young people and their communities across the Yorkshire and north Derbyshire region.

The project is working to restore and revitalise the currently unused Canada House, a Grade II* Listed building in the heart of Sheffield city centre, to create a vibrant new hub for music – open to all communities across the region.

Brief

Altitude joined the project as a PR consultant. Our role was primarily to aid with a targeted and impactful programme of communications.

The aim of this was to help support the positioning of Harmony Works locally, regionally, and nationally, increasing its exposure in the region, as well as to aid the surrounding fundraising activity, to ensure the conditions were set for successful delivery.

Our Activity

Our work was broad and included: developing a clear communications plan, providing overarching strategic advice, curating dynamic key messages and values of the project, outlining brand guidelines, providing a refreshed visual identity, updating the design and copy of its existing website, providing event materials, supporting on a CRM system, drafting and distributing media releases, and liaising with the media and key stakeholders.

Results

Altitude provided strategic support while generating a wide library of materials, an updated website and positive media coverage in regional and national media. Our work also brokered relationships with new Sheffield-based stakeholders. To date, the project has received excellent coverage on both BBC and ITV as well as Arts Professional, Business Desk, Place Yorkshire and Classical Music among many other media sites.

Testimonial

“We’ve been extremely fortunate to be working with Altitude. They are a wonderful partner; nothing is too much trouble and they are always willing to go the extra mile. The single point of contact is a very efficient and personable way of working, but also knowing we benefit from a range of disciplines internally as the demands of the project flex is hugely beneficial.  Senior members of the team are also very much available to offer insight and advice.”
